7/23/2016 6 Comments Wood Wood WoodAfter watching many episodes of Fixer Upper I knew I wanted shiplap in my house! We got a call from a friend who was tearing down a fence from an apartment complex and was going to trash all the fence panels if we didn't want them. We brought back hundreds of fence panels! Instead of using them to build a fence, we took each panel, pried off every little board, ripped the nails out of each board, and power washed each piece of wood. It took MONTHS to finish and was a horribly tiring process. I was so tired of looking at wood and nails...but on the bright side my hammering arm doubled in size! lol We planned to use the wood to look like shiplap on the walls in one room but we didn't realize just how much wood we had...probably enough to build a barn. So we decided to stain it and hang it on the ceiling too, which ended up looking really cool!

I just love your idea, we have a small Western town in our back yard. We live in a small cabin and we love it.
